Jonathon Keener, DVM

Dr. Jonathon Keener earned his veterinary degree from Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine, combining his lifelong passion for animals, nature, and science into a fulfilling career in veterinary medicine. He enjoys all aspects of patient care, with particular strengths in dermatology, surgery, and working with exotic animals. He also has a special passion for fish medicine, bringing unique expertise to aquatic species.

Originally from Anchorage, Alaska, Dr. Keener was drawn to Florida by his love for scuba diving, especially exploring caves and coral reefs which makes the area a perfect fit both professionally and personally.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Keener enjoys spending time scuba diving and gardening. At home, he cares for a lively group of animals, including a large Labrador mix, chickens, and a variety of fish, reflecting his deep appreciation for animals of all kinds.
